Meet Our Leaders
Craig Bragg, Chief Executive Officer
Craig is passionate about ensuring that patients in West Texas have access to high-quality, safe and effective inpatient rehabilitation services that meet their individual needs.
Possessing more than 15 years of healthcare experience, Craig began his career as a physical therapist and served in that role for nearly a decade. He then was in charge of a local inpatient rehabilitation unit before taking the leadership reins at Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital more than eight years ago.
Craig earned a master’s degree in physical therapy in 2000 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
He is actively engaged in our community, serving on the Lubbock American Diabetes Association board of directors, as a Deacon of Redeemer Church, and as a Cub Scout Pack committee chairman. He currently resides in Lubbock, with his wife, Heather, and their two children.
Crystal L. Roach, Chief Financial Officer
Crystal brings more than 30 years of experience to her role in leading the hospital’s financial management.
Crystal earned a bachelor’s degree of business administration in accounting from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas, and is a certified public accountant.
She currently is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is engaged with various community organizations including the United Way and Prison Ministry.
Tammy Segarra, OTR Director of Patient Care Services
Tammy has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She thrives on making a difference in people’s lives and is excited to be a part of a company whose sole purpose is to do just that.
Tammy earned her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy in 1995 and her master of science in rehabilitation sciences in 2004 both at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Her career began in 1996 as a staff occupational therapist in an acute care setting. She then transitioned into inpatient rehabilitation as the therapy supervisor in 2004 and became the program director in 2008. In 2015, she became the director of patient care services at TRHL.
When Tammy is not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband of more than 30 years and with their children and 4 grandchildren.
John Parsons RN, MSN, CRRN Chief Nursing Officer
John enjoys seeing our rehabilitation patients progress through the care they receive at Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital of Lubbock. He takes pride in our facility’s ability to care for patients so they may return home independently.
He has worked as a nurse for more than 15 years in various nursing settings. John began his career as an ICU nurse working in both MICU and CICU. He moved on to become the director of MICU before moving on to be the director of a level one trauma center. From there he joined the Trustpoint team 3 years ago as the Chief Nursing Officer.
John earned his master’s degree in nursing From Texas Tech University in Lubbock Texas. He is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and holds a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse designation from this organization. He resides in Lubbock with his wife and two children.
Seth Torres, OTR Director of Therapy Operations
Seth has led our therapy department with great success for nearly 10 years. He has a passion for patients with spinal cord injuries and the role in recovery which we are able to play here at Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital of Lubbock.
Seth graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with his Master’s in Occupational Therapy in 2006. He worked as a staff OT in the rehab setting for two years before transitioning into the role of Therapy Supervisor in 2008.
Seth was born and raised in Lubbock and continues to live here with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys golfing and spending time outdoors. He also enjoys participating in wheelchair dodgeball, a program developed for patients with disability.
Kelly Turnbow, Director of Human Resources
Kelly enjoys her role in recruiting and retaining a talented healthcare team for the hospital.
She brings more than 11 years of experience to her role. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business and a master’s degree in management from Wayland Baptist University in Lubbock, Texas.
Kelly Campbell, PT Director of Marketing and Business Development
Kelly is excited to represent Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital of Lubbock and the great care we provide in this community.
Kelly earned her master’s degree in physical therapy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2006. She began her career working as a staff physical therapist in both the acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. She transitioned into the role of clinical liaison in 2012 and became director of marketing and business development in 2016.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, Byron and their three children. Kelly is actively involved as a leader in the AWANA program at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church.
Roger Wolcott, MD., Medical Director
Dr. Wolcott brings more than 20 years of medical experience to his position. Board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Wolcott has served as medical director of the hospital since 2008. He also serves as associate professor for the Neurology and Orthopedic Department and mentoring associate professor for residents and physician assistants at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Dr. Wolcott earned a Doctorate in Medicine and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Medical School. He completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He is an associate member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and is a diplomate for the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Syamala Chekuru, MD., Associate Medical Director of Stroke Program
A physiatrist, Dr. Chekuru is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Offering her patients more than 35 years of expertise, Dr. Chekuru earned a medical degree from Guntur Medical College in Guntur, A.P., India. She completed medical internships at Guntur General Hospital and Brooklyn-Cumberland Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. She completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Metropolitan Hospital Center in Valhala, N.Y.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and is a member of Lubbock-Crosby-Garza Medical Society.
Timi Tuamokumo, MD., Associate Medical Director of Brain Injury Program
Dr. Tuamokumo, a physiatrist, earned a medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Fla. Bringing nearly 10 years of experience to his role, Dr. Tuamokumo holds a special interest in neurological disorders.
Dr. Tuamokumo completed an internship at the University of Florida’s Department of Internal Medicine and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Alabama Birmingham Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department.
He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Alabama Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Lara Johnson, MD., Medical Director of Pediatrics
Dr. Johnson is a pediatrician who brings nearly 15 years of experience to her role at the hospital. She earned a medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She completed a pediatric residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas and participated in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. She also earned a master’s degree in health sciences research from Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Johnson is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Society of Hospital Medicine, and the Texas Pediatric Society.
Michael McPherson, MD., President of the Medical Staff
Dr. McPherson’s brings 20 years of experience to his role at the hospital. He earned a medical degree and completed and internship and residency in internal medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas.
